Arsenal Moving On

The last time Man United failed to progress in the group stages, Arsenal went all the way to the finals and lost 2-1 in the final minutes against Barcelona with 10 men on the pitch for most of the game.
They say history repeats itself, now both Man United and Man City are out. Arsenal has progressed very well although everyone was criticizing them that it might not progress.
We topped the group and we have avoided teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona. The major threat is teams like Basel who shocked Man United and Napoli who seems very confident. But In Wenger We Trust because previously no English team had won at Madrid nor San Siro but Wenger did it by beating teams like Real Madrid and AC Milan when everybody else was expecting that we could loose.
Apart from Barcelona the teams that normally hindered our progress in CL was basically from England, for example there was a time whereby we were knocked out by Liverpool and then later Man United. Those are the two teams that normally go create problems for Arsenal. With only Chelsea now, our hunger for trophy might end soon by winning the major European trophy which Wenger hasn’t brought it to Arsenal home ground yet.

ARSENAL MANIAC: Arsenal Should Improve on Corners

Arsenal Should Improve on Corners

The good thing of supporting arsenal is that it always keeps you entertained. I have observed that we normally get very many corners, but we hardly convert many of them. Sometimes we can even get 10 corners and convert none. This weekend against Wigan I was impressed that Vermelean converted one.

I hope that with time we will improve, and if we can convert those chances we normally get, am sure our goal difference will improve

WHY NASRI AND FABREGAS SHOULD GO

Every time I read on arsenal news it is always this two names on almost every article on transfer rumours. I think the best solution is to let them go.
When Torres decided to leave to Chelsea, Liverpool let there best striker go and invested their cash on Suarez and Carrol, which to me it was the best deal ever. Torres had a hard time in Chelsea while Suarez had an awesome performance to Liverpool. From this view, I think with Nasri refusing to stay with us and prefer going to City, then it is better to cash his money and buy reinforcement. Am meant to understand that Gervinho is the replacement of him, and with Miyaichi rising up, we do not have a problem with his position. So his money can be used to buy a loyal player. I Remember last time he said Gallas is a traitor, so who is the traitor now?
Am big fan of Fabregas as he had some very good displays in his Arsenal career, but I do not mind him going to Barcelona where it could earn us a lot of money. He is becoming an injury wannabe, so why should we keep him if the risk will always be there. He also has his own critics, there was a game we played against Spurs and Fabregas gifted them with a free win and that we lost our history of always beating spurs. At Camp Nou, he was injured, but he preferd to stay and later give a lousy ball and gifted his dream team a goal advantage. I believe Ramsey will take on his shoes and with the support of Wilshire in the midfield, then I think we might be unstoppable. Although it will not be easy to find a replacement for him, am sure any decent signing would be accepted. Ramsey needs a back up because injuries might always happen.
Bye bye Nasri and Fabregas, it is always said that players will come and go but arsenal will forever remain.

New Season

It has been since I have posted. I was so disappointed we lost the title. But Life goes on, arsenal is always the club that is in my heart. On the 13th July 2011, it was the best in my life as an Arsenal Support when I managed to see them live in Bukit Jalil Stadium against the Malaysian X1. I was on the pitch 2 hours before kickoff.
Bukit Jalil Stadium - Malaysia
The stadium was already occupied with more than 2000 fans although it was so early.
2-Hours Earlier Arrival
One hour Later, Theo Walcott was the first to go into the stadium with his friends where he got an awesome applause; he moved around, took some few photos and waved to the fans.
 Arsenal Full Squad Warming Up
Before kick-off the stadium was almost full, more than 65,000 fans, the stadium normally holds more than 80,000. I could believe that I was one of those fans. My heart was filled with joy, as I couldn’t imagine that at least am getting to see the team I used to just watch on TV.

The game was good with a lot of awesome performance, and at last had to leave around 14 minutes before the final whistle, by that time leading 3-0 with the best goal being of Carlos Vela where he just chipped it over the goal keeper.

WE LOST IT

plc.jpg
For the past 5 years, come March to April our game display is below par. Can’t understand why we failed to pick points from Sunderland, West Brom and Blackburn.  Now our players should talk less off the pitch and deliver on the pitch. We handed over the title while it was on our hands. The players and fans should not blame Wenger because he already did his part.
We are tired of saying we are almost there, we want to reach the desired destination. Two weeks they we claimed that it was the goalkeeper, this week was the strikers, next week it will be defenders. In short am disappointed with the way we are playing now. We need those points and our players should deliver. 7 points is a big margin and now if there is any dream of winning the league we cant even afford a draw and hope for Man U to stumble, which is unlikely coz we already gave them the confidence.

DIABY OR DENILSON

I won’t be biased with these although I like Denilson more as compared to Diaby. Many fans would comment that both players don’t deserve to be in the might Arsenal.
These are my reasons why we should sell Diaby and retain Denilson. Firstly Denilson filled the void that was left with Flamini, during that season he had an amazing partnership with Song and Fabregas.
Secondly the 2010/2011 isn’t the best season as he started with injury which gave Wilshere the opportunity to emerge as top competitor. This must be a shock for Denilson as his position was taken by the magnificent Wilshere and he must have lost the confidence he had the other season.
Lastly he is the kind of player who can shoot from far when he want to. Only at recent it seems tha Nasri is the one player who is taking that initiative. Wilshere had only one shot from 25yards on the game against Birmingham which we lost on a stupid defensive error.
On Diaby he always compares himself with Viera to which I don’t see any similarities of him. Maybe the looks. Viera used to win us games. Howmany games has Diaby won us? He always talks more off the pitch just like Bendtner and proves nothing while playing.
We have more attacking midfielders so I think Diaby should just be sold and invest the money on buying a defender or keeper.  And we should retain Deni becaus he is the perfect back up of Song.
